Healthy Chai Latte
My newest obsession is making my own healthy chai latte in the morning. A healthy version of a chai latte is quite easy to make at home and has an array of spices that are great for digestion, inflammation, antibacterial properties and can also benefit blood sugar levels.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of almond milk
- 2 tea bags (I use organic black tea)
- ½ teaspoon of ginger powder or 2 pieces of sliced ginger
- ½ teaspoon of cardamon powder
- 5-8 clove buds
- 1 cinnamon stick
Method:
- Heat the almond milk in a pot on medium heat on the stove
- Add the tea bags to the pot and slowly add the ginger, cardamon powder, clove buds and cinnamon stick and stir until it all comes to a boil
- Once the mixture is boiled, turn off the heat, leave the mixture for a couple of minutes, strain the tea bags, and throw the tea bags away
- Pour the mixture in a mug through a tea strainer to catch the clove buds and cinnamon stick
- You can have the tea by itself or add some honey or maple syrup
- Enjoy!! 😊
